Rumour mills are abuzz that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is set to appear in Ms. Marvel series produced by Disney Plus. The Humsafar actor is listed amongst other cast members on the show’s official page on IMDb’s website.
Fawad will work for the first time with the Oscar-winning director, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy.
Legendary senior actress Samina Ahmed is also a part of the series reportedly as she was shooting for a ‘Hollywood serial’ in Thailand, which her husband Manzar Sehbai revealed earlier. As per details, Farhan Akhtar was also in Bangkok for the shoot of the show.
Marvel Studio’s upcoming original series Ms Marvel, will see Iman Vellani play Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. Churails actor Nimra Bucha is also part of the cast and is expected to have a pivotal role in the series.
According to a press release, “The Marvel Studios original series centers on fan-favourite Kamala Khan a 16-year-old Pakistani-American growing up in Jersey City. A great student, avid gamer, and voracious fan-fic scribe, Kamala has a special affinity for superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel.”
Episodes of the series will be directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life), Meera Menon (The Walking Dead, Dirty John, Outlander) and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
The much awaited series is set to premiere on Disney+ later this year.
