Shah Rukh Khan is expected to feature in a cameo role in Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha, which is reportedly the Hindi remake of the blockbuster Hollywood film Forrest Gump.
According to reports, Aamir himself directed SRK for the cameo, which was shot in New Delhi before SRK left for Dubai with his family to cheer on his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Sources from the sets have revealed that the two stars had a great time together on the sets exchanging insider jokes and sharing drinks. It was earlier reported that Aamir was keen to have both the Khans – Shah Rukh and Salman – in the film and while SRK agreed and shot his part, Salman was yet to give his consent.
SRK’s production house Red Chillies is reportedly handling the visual effects for Laal Singh Chaddha.
The movie features Kareena Kapoor Khan as the female lead and she recently wrapped up shooting for her part.
Directed by Secret Superstar director Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha was scheduled to hit screens in December this year but has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will now release on Christmas 2021. The film has been shot at multiple locations across India including Chandigarh and Kolkata. In September, Aamir had gone to Turkey to do a recce for shooting locales. During his visit, he had met Turkish first lady, Emine Erdoğan, drawing strong reactions from Indians, who were angry with the actor for meeting Emine on India’s Independence day. Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan has always condemned Indian brutality in occupied Kashmir and extended his support to Pakistan and Kashmiris following the troubled valley’s illegal annexation.
The makers had earlier dropped the first look of Aamir as a Sikh man.
Meanwhile, Aamir also wished his dear friend on his birthday earlier this month.
