Note: It has been 5 months since theaters are closed all over the nation due to ongoing pandemic. No film has released at the Box Office in this time period so our Box Office Review will take into consideration lesser factors then we take in normal conditions.
Our Box Office Review in the current situation doesn’t imply the accuracy it does in normal circumstances because we have no clue about the release size Khuda Haafiz would’ve got if it had hit the cinemas.
A film’s Box Office fate also depends on the real performance of films releasing before and after it. In the ongoing situation, we can’t take into consideration that factor too and that’s why in the Box Office Review of Khuda Haafiz we will roughly predict its BO prospects and how much theatrical revenue the film may have lost because of not being able to hit the big screens.
Khuda Haafiz Box Office Review: Expectations
Vidyut Jammwal has a fair hold at the box office. His action style and extremely fit physique has so many fans. Given a good film, he has always proved his mettle at the box office and in fact his last film Commando 3 was a fairly okay grosser considering its budget.
With Khuda Haafiz, the expectations are not high. The trailer and music have got fairly good response but it’s the film’s pre-Independence release which is its biggest bet. If KH film had released in cinemas on August 14, it would’ve been definitely helped by I-Day holiday. After that, the industry would have expected it to get good word of mouth to maintain the speed.

Khuda Haafiz Box Office Review: Impact
What I saw in the movie was far better than what its trailer looked like. Yet another example of “Don’t judge the book by its cover”, but it’d have been better if the trailer was good as well. That could’ve created better perception and pre-release buzz for the film.
Coming back to the film, it’s definitely a good entertainer and thoroughly enjoyable. When I watched Commando 3 last year, I was disappointed because the story had potential which was left unexplored. Khuda Haafiz’s writers as well director use the potential of the story to a large extent and that’s where the film comes out victorious.
Most important elements in a film like Khuda Haafiz are emotions, stunning action and thrill. Khuda Haafiz ticks all three boxes. While the film has an engaging drama, it has some really well-choreographed action also. The raw action sequences will take your breath away. If they are extremely choreographed, the credit also goes to the way they have been picturised. Watch the action sequence before the interval. The way Vidyut performs it is a treat to eyes. Though blood and gore can turn out to be an off for a huge section of the audience. Emotions are also a strong point of the film. There are a few scenes which will literally shake you but the impact would’ve been far more if the film was a theatrical release. Yes, Khuda Haafiz had to be a theatrical release and not direct OTT. F*** You Coronavirus!
The camerawork of the film adds to the value of the film but performances could’ve been better.
Shivaaleka Oberoi looks stunning onscreen and acts very well. She is an absolute treat to watch on screen. Looking forward to seeing her doing more challenging roles now. Vidyut Jammwal has got better. He is spectacular in action scenes, decent in some emotional scenes but he can work more on his expressions. Overall, he was still a treat to watch. If the film was released in cinemas, his fans would’ve gone crazy in pre-interval action sequence. Annu Kapoor is very good but has has a limited scope in the film.
Director Faruk Kabir has done a very good job and has made a film which had a good shot at the box office.
Khuda Haafiz Box Office Review: Final Verdict
Overall, Khuda Haafiz could’ve targetted 50 crores mark had it released theatrically. This one had high chances of being bar far his highest solo grosser of all time. The film’s pre-Independence Day release and good word of mouth would’ve helped it.
