Bhagyashree Claims To Have No UGLY Experiences In Bollywood, Says “Probably Have Been Some, Where I Might’ve Been A Little Disillusioned…”

From the past few weeks, the Bollywood industry is grabbing headlines for wrong reasons. Kangana Ranaut has been going on about nepotism since Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Recently, Mahima Chaudhry talked about alleged bullying by Subhash Ghai. Now, Bhagyashree has opened up about her experience in the film industry.

The actress rose to fame with Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) in which she starred alongside Salman Khan. Their on-screen pairing and chemistry made them a most favourite couple of that time. Since then, she has worked in several interesting projects. However, unlike Kangana and Mahima, the actress didn’t have bitter experience in Bollywood.

In an interaction with Hindustan Times, Bhagyashree said, “I have never had any ugly experiences. There probably have been some, where I might have been a little disillusioned and hoped something would work, but it didn’t work out for some reasons. I look at it as a learning experience, maybe something lacking on my part, not being able to fulfil what I wanted.”

Since the passing away of Sushant Singh Rajput, a lot of people on social media are bashing Bollywood. Many have started seeing it as a negative place to work. Bhagyashree shared if she ever felt the same about the film industry. The Maine Pyar Kiya actress said, “Jab hum filmon mein aa rahe the, tab bhi tha ‘films are a very bad world, no person from a good family would be allowed to go to the film industry’. This was there even 30 years ago. Over a period of time, things have changed. You look at it as any other workplace would be. There are women in every aspect, right from set designing, to make-up. I would say it still remains an industry.”

The actress further stated that Bollywood is just how the world is. It has some good and some bad people. The actress added that as it is an open industry, it becomes possible for things to come out easily.

Bhagyashree concluded, “As people in the rest of India like to emulate you, it gives you a sense, of how we should conduct ourselves in public.”
