Kannada actor Yash’s KGF 2 has been making headlines all cross for over a year. The action-thriller is one of the most awaited releases in the Indian film industry. Post success of KGF 1 which released in 2018, fans have been eagerly waiting for its sequel. From a past number of days, there have been rumours about Sandalwood superstar Kichcha Sudeep being the original choice to play lead antagonist Adheera in the sequel.
However, in a recent interview, Kichcha Sudeep rubbished the rumours. As the Eega actor stated that he was never approached by the makers to play Adheera in KGF 2, and he is glad that the role went to a talented actor like Sanjay Dutt.
As per a report from ibtimes, Kichcha Sudeep was quoted saying in an interview, “I was only approached with an invite to watch the film when KGF: Chapter 1 was complete. I am only happy that Sanjay Dutt sir is doing the film KGF: Chapter 2, as I wouldn’t have done what he is capable of.”

Kichcha Sudeep was last seen on the big screen in a negative role in Salman Khan starrer Dabangg 3. The Kannada star is one among those actors from down south who is equally known to portray romantic, action, and negative characters.
More about KGF 2, 80% shoot of the film has been finished. The remaining portions will resume post lockdown. The post productional works of the action-thriller is currently on.
Apart from Yash and Sanjay Dutt, one will also get to see South actress Srinidhi Shetty and Bollywood diva Raveena Tandon in key roles. The film is slated to release on 23rd October during Dussehra weekend.
KGF 2 helmed by Prashanth Neel is a multilingual film that will hit the big screen in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages.
