Bollywood has seen some classics when it comes to comedy. Be it Welcome or Housefull, the buzz remains massive. But when it comes to Hera Pheri – fans go berserk, quite literally. There have been talks around the 3rd instalment for quite some time now. Actor Suniel Shetty is finally opening up about it along with some shocking confessions.
Hera Pheri, directed by Priyadarshan in 2000, starred Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Tabu in leads. For a long time, there have been speculations around Akshay’s presence. Fans have been wanting it for long, but it was reported that there were some issues behind the scenes. While Suniel Shetty hasn’t exactly confirmed that, he has confessed to having trouble in the team. And that remains a reason for Hera Pheri 3 delay.
Talking about the same, Suniel Shetty in a conversation with Mumbai Mirror said, “Everything is on hold for now. The film’s team intends to make Hera Pheri 3, but some differences need to be ironed out. The film is a big hit on television as well as in the meme world and we are all aware of the anticipation among the audience for the film.”

The entire talks around Hera Pheri 3 began when Indra Kumar confirmed the project earlier last year. He had just finished Ajay Devgn’s Total Dhamaal when he made the big news. The director even teased the fans letting out some details.
“I’m happy that the favourite trio is coming back together. We start the film towards the end of this year. It’s currently being scripted. I was completely cut off from that project for the last three months because I was busy with Total Dhamaal,” he told DNA, and added, “So, it will definitely be bigger and better and involve heavy VFX. I’m expecting people to enjoy the film as much,” shared Indra Kumar.
However, Hera Pheri 3 was later delayed indefinitely and the director moved on to Dhamaal 4.
