Ever since the posters of Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak, directed by Meghna Gulzar were quite, fans were super excited for the film. While the word of mouth of the film was on a positive high, things soon went downhill for Deepika after she was spotted at the JNU campus supporting the students protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
And now, Deepika Paduone has finally decided to open up about what went wrong and what she feels about the reduced IMDB ratings for the film. In her recent appearance at an event, Deepika has broken her silence about the film saying, “Unhone meri IMDb rating badli hai, mera mann nahi (They have changed my IMDb rating, not my mind).”

Well well, that certainly clarifies a lot of things in terms of what her stand is on all the nasty things that were being said about her and the film. For those of you who have come in late, Deepika’s Chhapaak was based on real-life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

While many were accusing Deepika of visiting the prestigious JNU campus as a PR stunt, but many certainly did laud Deepika for taking a stand on sensitive issues. The Padmavaat actress was also criticized by other industry folks.
