Deepika Padukone has in many ways been the torch bearer of the movement against the taboo around discussing mental health issues, especially Depression. Now the actress is all set to have a discussion about the same with World Health Organization (WHO) director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
Yes, you read that. Taking to her official Instagram handle, Deepika has shared a post that reveals that in order to bring to light and tackle the issue of Mental Health amid these stressful days of the Lockdown, she will be having a virtual chat with Dr. Tedros.
The post read, “Prioritizing mental health during the pandemic and beyond… Join Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General, WHO and I, as we discuss the importance of mental health during the #COVID19 pandemic and lessons we can learn for the future.”
Deepika has also welcomed all suggested questions from fans that they would like to be addressed during the live chat.

For the unversed, Deepika has been very vocal about her battle with depression and has also started her foundation Live Love Laugh after she was diagnosed with clinical depression in 2014.
While Deepika and hubby Ranveer Singh have donated funds to the PM Cares Fund to help those in need amid the lockdown, they have also been actively creating awareness around the importance of mental health during such testing times.
